Luggage

Thinkin' about takin' a vacation? I'm waaayyy overdue for one. Why do they call them vacations anyway? Why not call the ESCAPES. Seriously I NEED, not just want, an escape. No Blackberry, nobody I know, ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSIBILITY, no thinkin' about anything for a good 2 weeks (or more). Seriously, on some near deserted island, and I don't even want the fish to swim to loud! So I am picking out luggage because I'm going to make my escape real soon.

Whaaattt??? I didn't even know that Samosonite had stepped their game up this far. But then again I really wasn't keeping score. Samsonite made me pay attention with this "Fashionaire Collection," from the Samsonite Black Label. There's the shopping bag, the suitcase and the overnight case.
After the success of 2006's Signat Attaché re-edition, creative director Quentin Mackay set his sights on the definitive range of luggage from the 1960s; Fashionaire. Defined at the time as 'individual fashion', Fashionaire was one of the hottest travel collections of that decade, meaning that for the first time, luggage could also be fashionable, as well as functional.
Today, the re-interpretation of this 60s collection is a celebration of the flower-power generation made fresh for the 21st Century in a range of vintage styles and thoroughly modern shapes for the fashionable world traveler. The 2007 introduction is a limited edition release available in the original iconic black-on-white floral print, as well as a contemporary update in white-on-black. All the bags have the orange interior to them. It really makes them pop!
Their Wheeled Upright is functional yet fashionable. With only 600 wheeled uprights made, this piece is sure to become a collector's item. This modern interpretation of the 1960s collection bears the modern conveniences of wheels, push button locking handle and a TSA combination lock. Bold, tone-on-tone orange lining adds even more pop to this piece. And it's still available at Samsonite Black Label.
American Tourister has some pieces worth investigating. You know I'm still in Love with anything Louis Vuitton when it comes to luggage. His luggage is first class!
