xoxo Gossip Girl
Seriously, I've always wanted to do that. {Kristen Bell, I'm coming for you} Getting to the point of things, the CW Network has recently started running a print campaign, as well as televised, in anticipation of the coveted show's return on April 21st. The OMFG {Oh My F**king God} is the R-rated version and is currently running in Us Weekly magazine.
However, don't fret, one of the TV campaigns are PG-13 and say OMG, rather than OMFG. {same meaning, just remove the f**king} While the alternate coincides with the print OMFG ads and focuses on the most intimate details. See it here.
The CW network has issued a statement in anticipation of a possible backlash:
“We wanted to create a provocative campaign that stands out from the competition and reminds viewers of some of the OMG moments that have made ‘Gossip Girl’ one of the most buzzed about new shows on television. This sexy, sophisticated campaign speaks directly to our adult 18-34 viewers, using expressions that are part of their lexicon.”
