"Can I just say how much I l.o.v.e. Diddy {Sean "Diddy" Combs}. I love him for the way he continues to reinvent himself year after year, to make sure that he is his own hottest commodity. I love how for all of his arrogance, you still see that journalism student at Howard University fighting for that one chance, that one day when the world will see him shine. This is why I love Diddy. This is why I love Sean Combs. This is why you will love Sean John." -Lexie H., FE Magazine 2008
I know my above diction to him sounds a little cliche but you have to admit, he is a force to be reckoned with. In case you missed it last Wednesday, MTV aired a documentary about Sean Diddy Combs' most recent fashion show for his Sean John empire. The documentary entitled, If I Were King aired at 10pm EST and several times since {and knowing MTV will air about 50 more times within the next 30 days}. This is a MUST SEE in the world of fashion. It takes you through all the stages involved in designing, bringing paper characters to dress form {the mannequin often seen donning a designers work} and finally to the runway. In the documentary, you will see Diddy often refer to the truth in fashion and see him in the designing phases. And as always you see his temper flare and not for the satisfaction of an ego but for thirst quenching perfection. The documentary also takes on such issues as the lack of African Americans on the fashion runways. Below is a little teaser of the documentary. You can view If I Were King in its entirety on MTV.com
