Not trying to scare anyone, but retail stocks took a beating this morning, falling more than 4.6% within the first half hour of trading as economic concerns and the global credit crisis persisted despite the Treasury Department’s new authority to spend up to $700 billion to bail out banks.
The Standard & Poor’s Retail Index fell 15.14 points to 316.69 by 10:20 a.m., as the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled below the 10,000 mark, falling 5.3 percent, or 545 points, to 9,780.35, after just more than an hour of activity.
The day's not over yet! So I'm just going to be an optimist and say the market still has time to correct itself.

The color attracted me of course. Then I found out that they were made pretty good too!
Truly, I have been searching for a mod winter coat. Believe me I am searching high and low. This coat is by Costume National. But it is listed as a Full Length Jacket.

Lanvin
Dresses, beautiful dresses at that. I don't even have to tell you that the Lanvin Spring 2009 Collection had me when I saw the first dress. But, then again, by now...you know to show me some nice skirts & dresses and I'm content. (nice is a understatement) For the Spring 2009 Collection it looks as if Lanvin kept it simple, elegant and sophisticated. I love the in-your-face orange dress that's gathered together on the left shoulder. That green dress, mmmhhh! Lanvin Spring 2009, Enjoy!

Favorites Of The Day
I just had to tell everybody about this new fragrance by Perfumer Sarah Horowitz. She is boosting the specialty store distribution of her fragrance brand and moving into Anthropologie stores this week. (Oct. 3)
John Hardy has designed sooo many pieces of extraordinary jewelry. I found this bracelet to be
everything I was looking for and didn't know it!
Now Lexie loves, loves big bags. This one I like. So we'd just be sharing this one.

Mr. Karl Lagerfeld
Karl Lagerfeld's Spring 2009 Ready To Wear Collection was eclectic, innovative, and timeless. How is it possible to be all three? Well take a look for yourself. From the very first piece, the black belt which is so eclectic and frankly, I'd wear it with a lot of other things too!. Continuing on the first piece, the arm pieces, I dare not call them gloves, are suppose to give the look of a tattoo end up actually working in that they are innovative. Let's not forget the ankle accessories either. The fitted sheath dress is a definite time piece and goes without further explanation. You do indeed get the feeling that the models themselves are channeling Karl Lagerfeld. Clean crisp lines. Right down to the grey gown he presents. It's Karl at his bad boy best. No wonder all us good girls love him!

Oh, I am so spoiled...I feel like a child who is demanding that Karl Lagerfeld be allowed to design for no less than eternity! That's not ass-kissing either. He is in my book as the undisputed heavyweight champ! The Don of Dapper. He has put the Femme in my Fatle forever. Chanel
Chanel Collection for Spring 2009 are classic, innovative, and up-to-date. I would say Chanel did it again, but then we all knew the line never disappoints. Luv the use of the two-toned hosiery and the hanging jewelry that is used to accent the pieces.

Yves Saint Laurent's got a French Manicure Kit that's not a moment to late. It's convenient, it's quick, it' easy...well you get the picture!
When I saw this necklace I did one of those short breaths that you do when you see anything that takes your breath away. It's a 18kt yellow gold and brown diamond necklace. Total carat weight 1,44.

Now if you like to skate on the feminine side of different, then you'll like this collection by Ann Demeulemeester. Her "different" white pieces were definitely wearable. The entire collection was one of the good surprises of the season!

You gotta move fast if you're even slightly interested in this one. It's by Distributed by SURevolution. It's a brand that takes the spirit of the artesianal world to the luxury market. Where everything is handmade....a wholistic point of view. Now this necklace also comes in gold.
This scarf caught my attention because of course it is different and in a strange way I actually like it.
I simply just like this handbag!

A.F. Vandevorst
An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx Spring 2009 showing was nothing less than memorable. (A.F. Vandervorst) It had strings of brilliance scattered throughout it. The feminine influence was on display. I think they can be proud of their showing overall. The sexy sleeves with extended cuffs on their white blouse was simply outstanding. I loved the beading on a grey dress with a tiny grey ribbon for a belt. Simple elegance.
