There's A Countdown For Men Too

I was brutally yelled at by a dear friend and avid reader of the blog that I must not forget to mention the various Menswear Fashion Week. As we all know some of the best ideas in women's fashion are inspired by the ensembles that men don on a daily basis. So guys, enjoy your fashion week{s}

DIY Status Bags - Printable Hermes Kelly

Stop fantasizing about owning the much-worshiped Hermes Kelly bag and get one of your own! This is even better than buying it from the boutique because you actually get to customize it by choosing the pattern.
While it’s probably not exactly what you had in mind when dreaming of the status bag, this DIY tote is still officially branded by Hermes!
The print-out bags can be cut out and designed to match any outfit you have… although I don’t suggest putting anything heavier than a cheque inside. I’d also avoid any time of adverse weather, that includes mild winds and any type of rain… or humidity for that matter.
Very cool that they’re embracing the DIY movement, but I’m actually surprised they aren’t offering a contest in conjunction. That would be a really great way to engage with the brand! If Hermes offered me the chance to win a Kelly or have my design go into production, you bet I’d be busy designing for Hermes all weekend!

Scarves

Every spring, (or every Pre-Spring) I always see someone in a convertible with a scarf and sunglasses on. So in the interest of helping to keep that "Welcoming to Spring Ritual" alive and well we'll just take a look at some of these silk scarfs. Ode to Hermes--I mean, What more can you say? There is nothing I can say to you to convey the sheer artistry of these silk scarves. The company was founded by Frenchman Thierry Hermes in 1837. It specialized in saddles and leather goods during the first years. The Hermes scarf was introduced in the early 1930's. Since then the company has produced some of the most original, artistic, beautiful and luxurious scarfs ever seen. Their spring collection is one that won't disappoint. There are numerous websites that are dedicated to collecting and selling these scarfs. Go to the ORIGINAL HERMES and you will be sure to get an original product. That being said, another excellent choice is Gucci. Gucci has some time honored designs that are excellent. I'd wear a Gucci scarf and not just for the label either! Louis Vuitton has some beautiful designs too. Like the "Saint Tropez Scarf" pictured here. You can go over to Dakini for different ways to wear your silk scarf. They have a Cancer Cure Pouch section that I ask you to please check out while you're there.

Timeless Handbags

Okay, I bought my first designer handbag when I was in the 9th grade and I have been in love with well made designer bags every since. It was a blue Gucci , with the monogram, and a red white & blue ribbon in the center, a sort of button with the Gucci label in it, which nobody can seem to believe I bought when I did! (I'm not tellin!, not even the name of the bag!) One Fashionista that I know asked me about that bag and I knew immediately that this person knows her stuff! My next bag was a Coach, black, with a little black coach tag hanging. My next was my absolute favorite, Louis Vuitton. So went my upward love of handbags (started not a moment too soon!) I learned that Louis Vuitton was founded in 1854 and was the hallmark of style and craftmanship. I also learned that it was the creme de la creme, the best of the best when it came to craftmanship. So that's what I'll focus on today. There is something to be said for those individuals who can buy an item today knowing that it will never go out of style. Not only is it satisfying, it makes it easy for you to approach all of your shopping in "investment mode." You should buy all of your clothing, shoes, jewlery, everything from someone who can bring you both style and fashion. And I mean "BRING IT." Let's take a look at some current styles of Louis Vuitton Bags. For Louis Vuitton's Handbag collection: Palemo Pm and Palemo GM are two bags that are classics. In the luggage line Alzier, Bisten and Cotteville are classics. So there you have it, the first three designers that I bought my handbags from way back in ....(I'm still not tellin!) Which were the top 3 designers of the moment and arguably today. For all you Fashionista's out there here's a list of some other popular hand bag sites: http://www.balenciaga.com/ http://www.burberry.com/ http://www.chanel.com/ http://www.chloe.com/ http://www.christiandior.com/ http://www.hermes.com/ http://www.jimmychoobags.com/ Of all the people in the world...NOT ONE...is more PRECIOUS, LOVED AND DESERVING...than YOU.
