The Cutest Little Sandals You Ever Want To See

Ok, so if my daughter knew I was going to go sandal shopping today I would hear something like, "You already have some sandals, it's not like you need anymore." I'd be listening to her protest, then I'll probably say something like, "I know I don't need anymore sandals but if I don't buy any YOU won't have anything new to choose from now will you?" Which will in effect end her protest and begin my shopping adventure! All of the sandals are available at Anthropologie.

Urban Street Fashions

I Love, Love, Love the shops where they have nothing but unique items. Makes my shopping just come alive! First of all you don't have to worry about seeing whatever you bought on 101 different people and you get so many different looks it inspires your creativity. This barely-there, ultra-light, racer-back hooded jersey top is “currently out of stock”. That’s how popular this bit of clothing is. The New York store OAK carries fab street fashions by several designers from around the world for hip urban shoppers.
The over-sized tote by Rick Owens is oil treated and “has undergone a craftmade treatment, with specific ecological products to give an experienced aspect. Therefore every imperfection is to be considered as a product feature and must not be considered defect or cause of complaint.” If you can’t fit your stuff in this bag, it’s time to scale back.
Also shown here is Grey Ant Floor length Dress.

Hah! Hah! Lego's Still ROCK!!!

I think I might have been the only person to ask for a set of brand spankin' new Lego's when I was in the 11th grade. In fact, my mother had looked at me like I had down right lost my ever lovin mind. But ah, yes, there was a method to my madness. Little did I know the very fact that I had played with those techni-colored blocks for over a decade would play a role in the way I view fashion. {I know, what could hard little blocks have to do with fashion} To prove my point, last year, when everyone thought Beyonce hadn't quite got it right with Balenciaga's infamous "Lego-themed" shoe {BTW: I found out that its called a 'cage' shoe which had four editions} I might have been the only screaming, "OMFG!!! those are so cute." Getting to my point, don't diss Lego's my fellow friends, due to their popularity with children and parents constantly injuring themselves on them around the house, those little pieces of plastic inspire more than you would think. Hey if you think I'm the only one that feels this way the lovely folks at Chanel just re-introduced a new lego type shoe.

Guess Who's Influential

Are you still guessing?... Artist Takashi Murakami {who most recently collaborated with Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton}, French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld... AND Karl Lagerfeld! The trio has managed to grab a spot in TIME Magazines 100 Most Influential edition.

All three known for their unique edition to the worlds of fine and fashion. Lagerfeld who has been creating the epitome of style long before the majority of us were born has been hailed for years as a creative genius and of late is using that insight at Chanel {as well as his own respective fashion house}.

"Before Karl, we all looked to couture for inspiration and direction," Zaha Hadid says in the issue. "Now, through his work, fashion originates from the street, the media - anywhere. This has resulted in exciting collections that are provocative and sensual."

Roitfeld, much like Largerfeld, has been known for her sense of style ever since her modeling days. With her at the helm of French Vogue, the magazine has soared to new heights as she utilizes her keen fashion sense as well as the street style that is elegant, yet simple which is known to the streets of Paris.

Dress Of The Day

I walked outside my door the other day and I happened to notice that one of my tulips bloomed. Its just a small yellow dainty little thing, but it bloomed. Then I suddenly realized that it was spring and maybe I can finally break out my flip-flops {they're the only flat shoes I own sadly} or even better my high heel sandals, YES! Ok, well maybe it's a little too early for sandals. But if I can get away with them, this is the dress I would definitely wear with them.

Spring is the perfect time for flowers of course and that happens to be one of this years biggest trends. So it's only fitting that this Missoni Ninive dress has caught my eye. Im not big on a ton of floral prints and I'd rather have a simple flower encompassing the entire dress than million covering it. Plus with something simple like this it continues to gives off a youthful edge which allows it to flow between the edge brackets. Twenty somethings will probably opt to go bare legged, while thirty somethings will choose to belt it at the waist and match it with a nice pair of pants.

Protect the Skin You’re In Tees

It wasn’t just women rushing to grab the “Protect The Skin You’re In” shirts. Marc Jacob’s skin cancer awareness campaign extended to men as well with a collection of “Protect Your Largest Organ” T-shirts.
Men who participated in stripping down for skin cancer awareness include Brandon Boyd, Rufus Wainwright, Jason Thompson, numerous other male models and Marc Jacobs himself.
It’s a bummer that David Beckham did not do one of these T-shirts to go with Victoria’s. I guess he had to stay loyal as the butt of Armani…
The t-shirts were initially available for $20, but they are harder to find now. They include the models’ name on the right arm and sell for $35 at Marc Jacobs boutiques.

Mobile TVs - The Samsung P960

I’m totally in love with this cell phone, even though I don’t really watch that much television. Unfortunately, it is not available in the USA yet. The Samsung P960 is the first slider cell phone with an integrated TV in Europe.
“It supports the Euro mobile TV standards DVB-CBMS and OMA-BCAST,” Crunchgear says. “Obviously there’s nothing on at the moment but color bars, but they look pretty good. I don’t think we’ll be getting this thing any time soon, since mobile TV in the USA is way behind Europe and Korea.”
I just love its crafty, efficient-looking design.

Where The Little Bumble Bee Roams...

Let's just say I have never been a big fan of bugs, in fact I run every time I see one. However, these little bugs, I was drawn to them, kind of like a moth to a candle flame. You see these little bugs don't bite, don't sting nor do they buzz around you head all day. These are more of the shimmering diamond type of bug.

Jack Barouh, the owner of Michele watches, in a collaboration with his wife have created a little bit of serenity in their Garden Party Collection. It focuses on three common bugs {the ladybug, bumble bee and the snail} to help bring this serene afternoon to life. The watches are crafted elegantly utilizing diamonds and enamel to paint the picture of a quiet afternoon in the garden while an alligator wristband holds it all together. However, this is a limited edition series and will be around for only a short time.

Hair Envy

If I were to talk to some psychiatrist, she {or he} would probably tell me that I have some type of issue with commitment which is why I can't commit to a certain hair color and sticking to it. Ever since my mother allowed me to get my hair dyed in high school, I have never stopped. I have just about every shade you can think of, with the exception of red {I refuse to go there, nah-uh}. Considering it's spring and the perfect time to reinvent oneself, I'm thinking of a totally new hair color. I could choose to stay at my present shade {a combination of blonds and browns that look similar to Beyonce} or I could go for the pure brunette again. But for the most part I am thinking that I will just go black, midnight black to be precise. My only concern it that I will come out looking completely washed out and like Elvira... Hmmm... Does anyone have any suggestions? Opinions? Comments?
