The collection will be called Neo Sci Fi, but that's not why I am bringing this up right now. It's the time of year when everyone is dumping their Chanel Blue Satin and Dior Midnight Poison & Poison Blue shades for something a little more lighthearted. Something geared a little more towards the birth of renewal, translation, Spring. Ironically, the MAC powerhouse has the perfect prescription. Ralph Lauren's Spring 2008 Collection, a campaign was created to compliment the preppy-chic look that’s taking over the fashion world by storm. To raise intrigue over the collection, the fashion house has released a series of how-to videos, such as How to Tie a Bow Tie, How to Layer, and How to Cuff your Pants. They’ve even launched their own Rugby video channel on YouTube.
RL offers both men and women’s wear, the pieces bringing to mind images of private schools and riding gear. For the men, the palette is toned down a little, but for the ladies, the more vibrant, the better!
Joining designers like Andre 3000, whose new line Benjamin Bixby mixes the quirky yet put-together, Ralph Lauren’s collection includes tailored pieces like shrunken blazers and vests as well as high-waisted trousers (there are a lot of mixed feelings about those!), madras, bow-ties and suspenders.

Color Blockin {Part 1}

Everyone has there own sense of style and not one person is exempt from that rule. Some people are so stylish, they can strike out on their own and influence the world to see their personal fashion expression as another person's own. Do I dare consider myself stylish? OF COURSE! Here are a few quick facts about my own personal style. Summed up, I have about three different extremes:

1. I am extremely detailed {think Givenchy Couture or Elie Saab}
2. Plain & Simple {sometimes simplicity is genius}
3. EXTREMELY COLORFUL

It's the later of that list which brings me to my point. A major trend that recurs every season is color. Be it the royal purple of winter or aquamarine blue of summer. Color is something that fashion can not live without. Spring is one of the seasons that gives you a broader paintbrush when it comes to color. When you reflect on seasons past, its the only season where you can incorporate dark colors and those beautiful pastels and neon's. One of this Springs biggest trends happens to be color blocks.
